On Monday, September 2, 2024, Walter H. Brady, Sr. transitioned in Henderson, NC. He was preceded in death by his parents, Paul and Hazel Brady, his wife, Sue Brady, two sons, Darrin Brady and Phillip Brady, one daughter, Carolyn Cooper, one great-grandson, Darrin Swann and one granddaughter, Christy Jones.

He is survived by one son, Walter Brady, Jr. (Gail Jones) of Henderson, NC, two daughters, Denise Hughes of Rossville, GA and Jennifer Meade (Randall) of Coeburn, VA, 18 grandchildren, two sisters Wanda Hilliard of Newport, TN and Nellie Metcalf of Lexington, NC and a host nieces, nephews, and cousins.

A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, September 7, 2024, at 11:00am at the family's home church, Rock Spring Baptist Church in Townsville, NC.

Honorary pallbearers are the Rock Spring Baptist men.

In lieu of flowers, the family ask that a donation be made to your favorite charity.
